| James L. Stirling is a nut. But not all nuts are bad. Look at this crazy font family he built. This is the first font he ever built, all the way back to the early 90s. All this time later, he decides to finish what he started. He started with Overkill Bloque. That should have been enough. Who can even use a font that bold? Then he started straightening the round corners to create Champion. Then it was on to serifs and Overkill Hammer and then Stencil and then a grunged-out version of Stencil called Grunge Stencil (as if you had to ask). I don't know what my font partner is thinking, but this is just a crazy family of very, VERY bold type. If I had to guess, I'd say the name Overkill is more than a moniker--it's indicative of an "over"burdened mind! Get an in-depth view now at Myfonts, or a free sample at Dafont and Fontspace. |
